Makin’ Harmony Chorus is a prospective Sweet Adelines women’s barbershop chorus. Established in 2009, we have entertained at various events in the St. George area with patriotic, Christmas, and overall fun family a cappella four part harmony style music. Directed by Jim Duncan, a Barbershopper himself, the women of of Makin’ Harmony share their art form with women in the southern Utah, and Mesquite Nevada area.

Recently, Makin’ Harmony Chorus was granted “prospective status” in the Sweet Adelines International organization. Sweet Adelines has over 20,000 members and are recognized world over as a quality women’s barbershop organization. Their mission statement is to be “a worldwide women’s singing organization committed to advancing the musical art form of barbershop harmony through opportunities in education, performance and competition”. Makin’ Harmony Chorus is part of the Sweet Adelines Rocky Mountain Region 8, which encompasses 8 western states and 16 choruses that range in size from 15-150 members. The region holds an annual competition and regular education events which we will have access to attend.
